I have previously worn 811's and 1410's - two great long lasting shoes. The 813's (like most NB trail runners) fit perfectly right out of the box, with zero break-in time required. They are light and fairly breathable as well. I always replace the insoles with green superfeet insoles, which make them rigid enough to rock-hop above treeline all day long without the shoe "folding" over when stepping on pointy rocks and roots.My only complaint is the triangular silver "arrow" on the side of the outer toe box. The tip of the triangle constantly rubs on rocks etc and both pairs quickly developed tears in the mesh on both sides of the triangle.
