Please READ ************* --------------------- Trying to search for an alternative which is available from shops in my locality. (also, as I am relatively new to pointe, would like to try as much different shoes as possible) Surpringly, they have Bloch Balance European..... this shoes is great, immediately noticable after wearing it. kind of become my "cinderella shoes" Got a proper place to dance this time. Should work on getting over the box and turning out. and I know I should sew the ribbons and elastics , break-in the shoes first before I dance on it.

I usually do a lot of bicycle riding in the summer. I could not last summer because it was way too hot, so I have been looking for ANY way to augment my fitness taking into account my busy schedule. I found these and they work well. Especially if a lot of walking is involved. They say to only walk in these. I understand that. They work on a Balance board principle. To run with these shoes would be almost as bad as trying to run in 1-inch spiked heals. I wonder if I can use them while bike riding as the bottoms are still flat. Switched from SauconysBy faffieI am a heavy runner (5.10, 160+) and used to run in Sauconys because they came in wide sizes , had good cushioning, and look pretty good. After trying this shoe I switched. The 10.5 D in the New Balance WR 760 is wider and roomier than the Saucony ProGrid Hurricane size 11 D I tried at the same time. (They cost significantly less, too.) There was enough room for me to use my orthotics with the supplied insert, providing more cushioning. I was so impressed I ordered 2 more pairs in different colors from Amazon. They are good-looking, especially for New Balance, which I avoided in the past because they were usually kinda ugly, making the fact that I have huge feet even more noticeable. Pleasantly SurprisedBy ZoomDocI ordered this shoe after having returned 2 pairs of NB 1906 which is a 200 dollar shoe retail. Go check zappos. This shoe is every bit as good as those shoes with better cushioning and better arch and pronation support for half the price. This is the running shoe deal of the year. The 1227 likely due out by summer of 2011 but who cares and it won't be at this price. I have some Brooks Beast which is highly cushioned and expected a big let down with these. I was very surprised with the quality feel and fit of these shoes. These will not be returned. I also returned the Asics gel Kinetics 3 so I have something to compare shoes with. Also have nike shox with forefoot air zoom and am very happy with these but they are wearing out and I needed to reload. I'm a stickler for forefoot cushioning and shock resilience as well as some energy return. I'm a big guy 240 lbs and the reviews about lack of forefoot cushioning are bunk. I got these in width EE and this was perfect although normal D is what I usually get. I do not like tight fitting running shoes but absolutely will not tolerate heel slip. So far so good. Good stability shoe for a pronater.By JonPWillsThese shoes are very good on your feet and follow what I will call the older and better style feel that you would find in a new balance shoe a few years ago.The foam is a little softer than I expected it to be and it has gel cushioning in the front as well as the rear of the shoe. It is ideal for heavy weighted runners and super supportive.It has a fine medial post to help control pronation and overall its built in arcs are average. In all I would say it is an excellent design and I reccomend this shoe if you need what it provides.As always though I am not a profesional when it comes to shoes. My podiatrist made me custom orthotics, but they never provided much relief. They didn't have my size and they said they couldn't get them because they were discontinuing the line. I found them at shopnewbalance.com for the same sale price. I prefer a darker athletic shoe because they stay looking good longer. These shoes are very lightweight, comfortable, and fit perfectly. After I got them I decided to order another pair for when these wear out. They weren't on sale anymore so I'll wait a little while. I have had to "settle for" with my last couple of pairs of shoes. Finding comfort that lasts beyond a couple of hours on my feet seemed impossible - until I found these New Balance! I was able to get my size in a wide-width to accomodate my wide feet; one major problem solved! They're slip-ons which I personally prefer to help my feet feel as free as possible while wearing shoes. They're designed simply, which I prefer. They are well made and last years! The comfort they provide is by far what I need. At the end of the day,(days-weeks-months),the bottom of my feet aren't burning; my feet are not in pain, overall. I'll wear them forever, however, finding my size in the wide-width, in the two basic colors I've always worn, gray and black, is getting harder as the years go on. I don't know why they mess with a good thing by trying to jazz them up to where they're no longer simple, go with anything shoes. Great new lightweight boot from New Balance.By Robert L. HawksI wear New Balance shoes exclusively due to my wide feet and New Balance has a large selection of shoes with 4E width. These boots look great, are very light, and are also warm. These also run true to size so whatever size New Balance shoe you wear, order the same in these boots. You DO NOT have to order one size larger like you do with so many manufacturers of insulated boots. The tread on these is very aggressive like turf shoes, and gets great traction and prevents slipping in mud or wet grass. They have a non-marking sole. We have had ice and snow this week with temperatures in the 20's, and I have felt confident walking in the ice and my feet have stayed dry and warm. Unlike alot of hiking boots, these slip on as easily as my New Balance sneakers, and also lace up very quickly and the laces stay tied all day without having to double knot them. I typically wear these 15 hours per day and these feel as comfortable as my athletic shoes. They did not require a break-in period and fit great right out of the box.
